19 Feb The Greatest Piece of Marketing Content Ever This Week Award

At KnowledgeTree we’re connoisseurs of fine marketing content.  Marketing materials that help support the sales process are a vital part of any marketing program.  They help educate buyers, build business cases, and advance deals.  No wonder Content Selling has become a vital part of content marketing teams’ game plans.

Because we love content so much, we’re always on the look-out for great sales and marketing collateral.  And while we’re at it, we wanted to recognize great pieces of content when we see them and call-out why it’s so great.  So, we’re launching a new semi-regular feature: an award for the Greatest Piece of Marketing Content Ever This Week.

Who wins the inaugural award?  Our friends at are known in the sales and marketing industry for producing great materials.  So, we’re pleased to recognize this week for their eBook “42 LinkedIn Inside Sales Tips”.

Why This Piece of Content?

  • Social selling remain among the hottest topics in sales and marketing.  And this eBook delves into one of the most powerful tools for selling socially — using LinkedIn.
  • Structuring the piece as a list of 42 tips makes the content extremely digestible and easy for readers to dip into based on their specific needs.  The ability to process information is always a major challenge, especially in an eBook.  This makes it simpler.
  • CEO Ken Krogue has long been a heavily-followed thought leader, so using his personal tips is a great way to pique interest.  Plus, bringing in an outside author is a great approach to not only add authority, but also reach.  Especially a well-respected thinker like Jamie Shanks.
  • Sharing content via social networks is derigeur of course, but surprising how few people embed the social shares into PDFs.  This piece has it covered with clickable social share buttons in the PDF.

Watch next week for another great piece of collateral to get ideas from for your own collateral.  Want to nominate a piece?  Tweet to me @petermollins or @knowledgetree.
