Wemag have developed a great KnowledgeTree community plugin that allows users to preview documents online. The plugin uses KnowledgeTree's built-in OpenOffice-based PDF conversion functionality and renders the PDF document as Flash. The plugin supports numerous document types including: doc, ods, odt, ott, txt, rtf, sxw, stw, xml , pdb, psw, ods, ots, sxc, stc, dif, dbf, xls, xlt, slk, csv, pxl, odp, otp, sxi, sti, ppt, pot, sxd, odg, otg, std, asc, pdf, png, jpg, gif, bmp, jpeg.
With the flexibility of KnowledgeTree's new Document Processing Engine infrastructure, it's very likely that similar functionality will be released as part of the core KnowledgeTree product.

Viewing Documents On-line
December 18, 2008 - 2:55am — Othni J. Morales (not verified)This new plugin is something that I think many people were waiting for.
It provides a smoother user's experience, less web-browser-like and more of a client.
Now I would like to give some users permissions to view the document on-line, but not to download it.
