KnowledgeTree, Inc. (“KT”) is committed to protecting the privacy and security of personal information that we collect. This Privacy Policy discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices both for our publicly available websites at www.knowledgetree.com and www.knowledgetree.org, and any other KT web sites that display or link to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the “Public Site”) and for our commercial KnowledgeTree on-demand document management service, which is accessed through the internet (the “Service”). The Service is available only to users authorized by organizations that have entered into an online or written signed agreement with KT for the Service (“Service Agreement”). Nothing in this Privacy Policy should be interpreted to modify, delete or add terms to the Service Agreement.
 
KT adheres to the Safe Harbor Principles of the Safe Harbor Program administered by the U.S. Department of Commerce with respect to personal information transferred from the European Union to KT. Information Collected
Visitors to the Public Site are not required to reveal any personally identifiable information to KT. Visitors to the Public Site who wish to receive information regarding KT products or services may provide us with certain contact information including telephone number, fax number, email address, and mailing address.
 
Through use of the Service, you may provide certain personal information for use and handling by KT solely for provision and maintenance of the Service.
 
When you visit the Public Site, we may send one or more cookies - small text files containing a string of alphanumeric characters - to your computer that uniquely identifies your browser. You can reset your web browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, some features of the Public Site may not function properly if the ability to accept cookies is disabled.

KT provides document management services as part of the Service. KT does not access or review any contents of any documents uploaded as a part of the Services, and as such does not collect or use any personal information that you may include in any such documents. Also, you acknowledge and agree that you or your employer may enable various other users to access documents containing your personally identifiable information. KT is not responsible for how such parties may use your personally identifiable information.
 
 
Onward transfer of Information
Except as set forth in this Privacy Policy, KT will not disclose any personally identifiable information provided by a visitor to the Public Site to a third party unless the visitor has consented to such disclosure. In particular KT does not share, sell, rent, or trade personally identifiable information with third parties for their promotional purposes.
 
We may provide personally identifiable information to our subsidiaries, affiliated companies, and contractors for the purpose of providing and maintaining the Service and for responding to your requests. KT will not disclose any personally identifiable information to a third party unless (i) the individual has consented to such disclosure and (ii) KT has ascertained that the third party either subscribes to the Safe Harbor principles or has entered into an agreement with KT that is consistent with the Safe Harbor principles.

Security and Data Integrity

KT uses computer security mechanisms including firewalls, monitoring software, and passwords to protect client data stored on KT computer systems. KT provides information and training to all employees who have access to data maintained on behalf of KT clients and prospective clients, and KT employees are responsible for the internal security of such information.
 
KT will not process personally identifiable information in any way that is incompatible or inconsistent with the purpose for which such information was collected. KT takes all reasonable measures to ensure that such information is reliable for its intended use, and is accurate, complete and current.
 
 
Enforcement
KT will periodically review its privacy and security practices to verify that KT is meeting its obligations under this Privacy Policy. Please contact KT at the e-mail below if you have any concerns or complaints regarding KT’s compliance with this Privacy Policy. KT will investigate and attempt to resolve your concern or complaint.
 
If a complaint or concern relating to this Privacy Policy cannot be resolved through KT’s internal process, KT agrees to dispute resolution by way of binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association as a third party dispute resolution provider.
 
 
Children
The Service and Site are not intended for use by children under the age of 18 without parental supervision.
 
 
Sensitive Information
KT does not intentionally collect any sensitive information through the KT website or the Service unless legally required to do so. Sensitive information includes but is not limited to race or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or other beliefs, and physical or mental health. KT suggests that you refrain from providing such information, but you agree that by doing so you will be deemed as providing your explicit consent for KT to use the information for the specified purposes for which it was supplied.

KT intends to protect your privacy to the fullest extent possible as described in this Statement while also fulfilling our responsibility to uphold all applicable laws and regulations. Due to potential legal requirements and other possible circumstances, we cannot ensure that all of your private communications and other personally identifiable information will never be disclosed or accessed in ways not otherwise described in this policy.
 
You agree that we may transfer your information to the purchaser of the portion of our business to which the information relates, or to an affiliated company.
 
You acknowledge and agree that KT may transfer personally identifiable information across state and country borders for the purposes of data consolidation, storage, and simplified information management.
 
Upon request, KT will correct any of your personally identifiable information held by us that you state is incorrect.
